Televisual is shooting a series of four films at 3 Mills Studios with leading UK creative and business executives that go behind the scenes to explore the making of some of the world’s most successful entertainment shows and iconic documentary series; what makes good ideas into primetime, must-watch television. We have an exceptional line-up of shows and speakers with contributions from 72 Films, Box to Box Films, Passion Pictures and Studio Lambert.

We are inviting a select VIP audience to join us on the 26th February from 1.00pm (or later) as a studio audience and for some networking and hospitality including a light lunch and early dinner. Fine wine, cold beer, coffee and tea available all day. We want to bring together business and creative talent from across the genre of factual and entertainment for shared insights and a unique networking event where there will be much to discuss on and off stage with take home value.

Televisual will shine a (studio) light on how the shows are finessed in production and when the narrative arcs develop and take form. Some of the sessions will go on to ask about the Indie’s broader slate and how they build out and find purpose for their more successful shows, while another will ask about reconciling the documentary filmmakers’ integrity with what might be considered voyeuristic content. The sessions will also look at the relationship with and influence of the broadcast commissioner.

The production setup will be akin to a talk show with six cameras, a live mix and a studio audience. Many of the crew have worked on some of the UK’s best shows (and will possibly be familiar to you). Some of you will find the pop-up, flypack intriguing of itself as we will be working with the latest and most efficient production kit and workflows, including the latest robotic cameras. (We are producing the content with a live mix and 4K HDR television production values.)

This unique and ambitious event is being fully supported by Sony Europe.
